This is Waynette Goodson and I’m your editor of Bedtimes and Sleep Savvy magazines. I’m here today to bring you our recap of the Las Vegas market. There were common themes and words we heard in each showroom that we want to tell you about. The first word, luxury, as we know in this market downturn, luxury is a sector that is doing very well due to its exposure to high-income consumers.

Luxury is therefore very isolated at the moment. Many manufacturers look for a luxury offer at Kluft. They stay firmly in their luxury lane. I fell in love with their Airloom line of night stars, especially the dramatic black border with gold lamé fans reminiscent of the art deco period. Just very high Hollywood glamor and luxury.

Now, in contrast to luxury, the next word is value. So many manufacturers are now looking to deliver a value offering, with consumers feeling the pain at the pump and the grocery store. So when we stopped by Restonic and spoke with Laurie Tokarz, they now offer the Waldorf collection and she described it as shocking value.

But it also has a lot of beautiful bells and whistles. You have PCM in the fabric, gel memory foam, and 800 individually wrapped spools. Now, therefore a luxury, then a value. Next manufacturers focus on existing successful collections and expand them. So we spoke with Gerry Borreggine from Therapedic and he says his new Immunity range has been so well received by consumers that they will be looking into the range further and may have more models to come.

And it also touches on another big topic of bedding. Now, well-being, because immunity is said to strengthen the sleeper’s immunity. So more to come in the future. Speaking of the future, hey, high tech is still going strong. We stopped at Ergomotion. They have a new line called Ergo Sportive. It is therefore the modular mattress, the recording of health data 24/7 and the anti-snoring.

But it also connects to your Garmin smartwatch for even more sleep health monitoring. Finally, how about increasing the total value of the ticket at checkout? We all love the sounds of this. We are talking about impulse purchases. We at Rize have found that their line of sleep essentials is always hot, hot, hot. It’s everything from essential oils and sleep masks to soothing candles and aroma diffusers.

Then at Malouf, they introduced a new essential sleep package. Everything is in a box. It is two roles of pillows packed, a set of microfiber sheets and a mattress protector. It’s all the consumer needs to get a good night’s sleep, especially after purchasing a brand new mattress. Okay, folks, that’s your Las Vegas summary. Please keep tuning in because in a minute we’ll be at October’s High Point Market shooting more videos to get you there. And we just hope you get a good night’s sleep.
