A Night With Scrublands Author Chris Hammer

  • Thursday 01 September 2022

Sunshine Coast Council Libraries invites you to spend an evening with renowned Australian author Chris Hammer at Maroochy RSL from 6pm on Thursday 6th October 2022.

Hear Chris talk about his latest outing The inclination, a superb thriller from the award-winning international best-selling author Garrigue, Silver and Trust.

Captivating and atmospheric, The inclination is a superb multi-layered novel from the bestseller. Tilt follows the journey of new homicide detective Nell Buchanan who returns to her hometown after being assigned a decades-old murder – a “file and forget”.

However, this is no ordinary cold case with the discovery of more bodies setting off an escalating chain of events in the present day.

As Nell begins to put the pieces together, she begins to wonder how much she really knows her loved ones.

Could his own family be implicated in the crimes?

Chris is a respected journalist with a 30-year career covering Australian federal politics and international affairs.

For many years, he served as a traveling foreign correspondent for SBS TV’s flagship current affairs program, Dateline.

Obtaining critical and commercial success when it was released in 2018, Garrigue was an instant best-seller, topping the Australian fiction charts.

Chris will be joined by special guest Leigh Robshaw, Journalist of My Weekly Preview and accomplished writer with over 20 years of experience.

In 2019, Leigh released her memoir, a witty and adventurous book titled You Had Me at Hola: In Search of Love & Truth in South America.
