And this is the part most people miss... Artemis II won't actually land on the Moon. Instead, it will lay the foundation for a future lunar landing, with the Artemis III mission taking the lead. NASA has set a tentative launch date for Artemis III in 2027, but experts suggest 2028 as the earliest possible year.
