Samsung Unveils The Freestyle+ Ahead of CES 2026: A Smart AI Portable Screen
Samsung has unveiled The Freestyle+, an AI-powered portable projector that promises to revolutionize entertainment experiences with its compact design, enhanced brightness, and AI-driven screen optimization. This innovative device is set to make streaming, gaming, and flexible viewing accessible in various settings.
The Freestyle+ is designed with portability in mind, featuring a compact cylindrical form factor that's easy to move around. With 430 ISO Lumens, it delivers nearly twice the brightness of the previous generation, ensuring clear and engaging content in everyday living environments. The projector's 180-degree rotating design allows for projection at virtually any angle, including walls, floors, and ceilings, without the need for additional mounts or accessories.
At the core of The Freestyle+ is AI OptiScreen, a suite of AI-powered screen optimization technologies. These technologies automatically adjust the picture to different spaces, allowing users to simply point, place, and start watching. AI OptiScreen includes features like 3D Auto Keystone, which corrects distortion on uneven surfaces, Real-time Focus for stable images, Screen Fit for adjustable image sizing, and Wall Calibration for minimizing visual distractions.
The Freestyle+ also integrates Samsung Vision AI Companion, a personalized AI platform designed for Samsung screens. This platform enhances Bixby with AI services from global partners, enabling natural and conversational interaction with on-screen content. Additionally, the projector provides built-in access to Samsung TV Plus, various streaming services, and Samsung Gaming Hub, allowing users to stream, play, and explore content directly from the projector.
For audio, The Freestyle+ features a built-in 360-degree speaker that delivers immersive, room-filling sound in a compact design. It also supports Samsung Q-Symphony, enabling synchronized sound with compatible Samsung soundbars for a cohesive audio experience.
Samsung will showcase The Freestyle+ at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, with a global rollout planned for the first half of the year. The device combines portability, AI intelligence, and entertainment features, making it a versatile addition to any space.
