Ramdas Writer Memorial Event – Star of Mysore

Mysore/Mysore: from the city Desiranga Samskrutika Samsthe will organize a seminar, book release and distribution of prizes for the winners of the essay contest organized in memory of the late writer, Professor K. Ramdas in Kirurangamandira at the premises of Rangayana on June 19.

Revealing this during a press conference at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, Samsthe secretary, Krishna Janamana said that the advocate, Prof. Ravivarma Kumar will inaugurate the program on June 19 at 10.30am. Later, a seminar on the topic “Love marriages can bring about changes in society: advantages and disadvantages” will take place. The public can participate in the seminar. 30 couples who have had an inter-caste love marriage will also participate.

The thinker Sanath Kumar Belagali will publish the book ‘Prajaprabhutva mathu Vastavate’. An essay writing competition was held on the same topic and 38 contestants (27 women) from across the state submitted their essays. Thinker Dr. Vasundhara Bhupathi will present cash prizes of Rs. 3,000 (first), Rs. 2,000 (second) and Rs. 1,000 (third) to the winners, he added.

Professor Kalegowda Nagawara, who also spoke, said Professor Ramdas was a social activist who raised his voice against all odds. In order to raise the voice against all the inequalities that occur in and around our society, the commemoration program is organized, he said.
