The Love from Worktown anthology launched by Live from Worktown

Words of love will be spoken on Valentine’s Day during the launch of the anthology to celebrate the romantic day.

‘Love from Worktown’ features poems and passages and was published by Bolton arts and heritage organization Live from Worktown.

Editor Dave Morgan said: “”We had great submissions on all

aspects of love; funny, acerbic, romantic, heartbreaking, sentimental and wild.”

The launch will take place at St George’s Coffee House, St George’s House, St George’s Road, at 5.00pm on Monday.

Selected passages and poems will be read by guest performers and copies will be available at a reduced price of £4.

Admission is free and Covid precautions will be maintained.

Copies of the anthology, which would make an unusual Valentine’s Day gift, can also be obtained direct from livefromworktown.org for £5, including postage and packaging.

Proceeds from the sale of the anthology will be used to cover the production costs of Live from Worktown’s various arts and heritage projects in Bolton.

Live from Worktown curates art exhibits reflecting the city’s past, present and future.

He has also created a series of audio guides that take visitors to the most interesting parts of the city, where they can step back in time and learn about the rich history of the place they live or are visiting.
