TURKSOY promotes the legacy of Kazakh writer Auezov to the public of Türkiye on the eve of his 125th birthday

NUR-SULTAN – On the eve of Kazakh writer Mukhtar Auezov’s 125th birthday, the essay novel “Menin Auezovim” (My Auezov) has been translated into Turkish with the help of the international Turkish culture organization TURKSOY , the Central Communications Service’s press service reported on August 9.

The novel was written by Kazakh philologist and writer Zeinolla Kabdolov.

Poets, writers, scientists, senior Kazakh officials and social activists attended the presentation of the book.

“The translation of the fundamental works of Auezov is a fantastic discovery for the brotherly Turkish people. I am convinced that the Turkish linguistic community, including the younger generation, will be able to navigate freely in the world of Auezov thanks to this book,” said Kazakh Minister of Culture and Sports Dauren Abayev.

The Minister also congratulated poet Asem Yerezheevna and Secretary General of the International Turkish Culture Organization Sultan Raev for their contribution to the translation of the book.

According to Abayev, the Ministry of Culture and Sports plans to publish a five-volume collection of works by Mukhtar Auezov by the end of the year.
